| | Anthony Gracie (Managing Director)Anthony was born in Cape Town in 1963 and obtained his B.Com degree in 1984 from UCT and then his CA(SA) qualification in 1989. Anthony worked for Modern Burglar Alarms and then Faircape Property Developers before joining his father at Cape Brick in 1998. Like the rest of the family, Anthony is a passionate angler as well as an enthusiastic mountain bike cyclist. Anthony is married to Sally and has two children, Ashley and Christopher. | |  |
Jacques Tresfon (Financial Director)Having been born in Cape Town, Jacques studied a B.Com degree at UCT and majored in accounting and finance, graduating in 1998. He joined the family business in 1998 and has been responsible for the financial and administrative side of the business ever since. Jacques' hobbies include spear-fishing, fishing and mountain biking and he also holds a helicopter pilots license. He is married to Kim and has two young children, Adam and Aimee. | |  |
Bernadine Green (Sales)Bernadine started in November 1998 as a receptionist and is now responsible for handling the full cash sales function. Apart from the directors, she is the longest serving member of staff in the administration/sales side of the business. She has a daughter, Chelsea, and enjoys watching rugby and spending her free time with her friends and family. Bernadine is a peoples' person and loves to help others whenever she can. | |  |
Anthia Currie (Administration)Anthia has been associated with Cape Brick for a number of years, but only began working for us in May 2008. She loves to read romantic novels and take long walks on the beach. "I love spending quality time with my family and friends and watching rugby, having a good laugh and enjoying life to the full". Anthia is our receptionist but also helps out with sales, office administration and much more. She is passionate about her work and keeps everyone in ship shape. Anthia is married to Craig and has two daughters. | |  |
David Bird (Transport & Logistics)David has been with us since March 2003 and is responsible for all transport logistics. He is the one who gets the customers bricks on site on time. Davids' hobbies include running and camping and spending time with his wife, Gina and his two daughters. Normally the first one in and the last one out, David is always there to help others whenever he can. | |  |
Dawood Khan (Sales)Danny is one of the newer members of the Cape Brick team and joined us in July 2009, having worked for himself for a number of years supplying plastics to the building industry. His hobbies include watching TV, braaing and working in the garden. Danny might be one of the older members in the office, but with martial arts being his sport of choice, he is as youthful as anyone. | |  |
Jaco Gildenhuys (Sales Manager)Jaco joined Cape Brick in January 2008, having been a salesman in the tile industry before that. He is a family orientated person who prefers to spend his free time outdoors. "During weekends I will spend my time with my family, braaing, camping, wine tasting and occasionally playing some golf." | |  |
Jonathan Van Rooyen (Accounts & HR)Having worked for Pavatile in Stikland for 3 years previously, Jonathan was a natural fit when that business was moved to Cape Brick in Salt River in late 2009. Jonathan is the assistant accountant and is also responsible for Human Resources and a host of other administrative functions. His key strength is his efficiency and reliability. His hobbies include hiking, camping, movies and spending time with his family. "I believe in being proactive in everything I do" Jonathan is married to Hazel and has a young daughter Hadassah. | |  |
Eben Nel (Paving Logistics)Like Jonathan, Eben started at Cape Brick in October 2009 after the Pavatile business operations were moved to the Salt River factory. He is responsible for the production and delivery planning for all wet cast paving products. Having worked with these paving products since 2004, Eben is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in what he does. "I enjoy reading and wood working in my free time, as well as camping. " He is married to Priscilla and has a young daughter. | |  |
Lucas Thomas & Victoria TyiwaniLucas (production) and Victoria (staffing) are the two supervisors who ensure the factory runs smoothly on a day to day basis. With a factory staff compliment of between 65 and 100 people depending on production volumes, they are kept extremely busy and perform a vital role in the operations of the business. Victoria started with Cape Brick in 1997, having previously worked for Corobrick and Lucas began in 2001. | |  |
